Job Purpose:

As the Senior Software Engineer for the Electro-Optical & Electronics team for Simera Sense, you will closely cooperate with the embedded electronics teams (hardware & software) as well as external software partners to develop, integrate, test and deploy the software products for various international customers.

Key Performance Areas and Responsibilities:

  • Interact with customers to explain the software product and determine requirements.
  • Provide guidance to the customer in the use of the software product.
  • Provide technical support to international partners.
  • Develop, integrate, test and deploy software on a cloud platform.
  • Document the software product, its API and usage.
  • Contribute to the selection and establishment of the software team.
  • Collaborate with expert partners and learn from their technologies and processes.
  • To be familiarised with remote sensing image processing, data calibration and validation, EDGE computing and cloud-based solutions architecture.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Honours Degree in Electronic, Mechatronics, Computer Science (Software) Degree

Required Experience:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in the implementation of software solutions.
  • Experience with AWS data pipeline products.
  • Experience in deployment of software products in AWS frameworks.
  • Proven systems engineering experience.
  • Proven project management experience.

Recommendations:

  • Cloud-based technology experience (e.g., AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Compute Engine) will be advantageous.

Special requirement(s):

  • Traveling overseas from time to time.
